Thankful for: No rain for the last 6 weeks. I’ve been enjoying 70 degree and sunny weather in January!

Watching: The new season of “The Good Wife”, “The Big Bang Theory” and “SNL”
Sam update: Singing and dancing!
Thankful for: family and friends. We just had Matthias’ parents from Germany stay with us for the month of September. Sam was able to bond and Matthias and I were make a trip to the Big Island of Hawaii just the two of us.

Reading: Just finished Laura Fraser’s “An Italian Affair”, fun travel memoir. Just about to start “Saved by Beauty, Adventures of an American Romantic in Iran” by Roger Housden. Think I will venture out today and find a cafe to begin my “trip” to Iran. My good friend Marta loaned me “An Italian Affair” and now I am totally back on my love for Travel Memoirs.
Watching: Law and Order Reruns..was sick a few days ago with the Summer Cold and ended up being sucked in.
Sam update: Sign Language! He loves telling us “more” and “all done” with his hands.
Thankful for: living soo close to the ocean. Half Moon Bay is maybe 20 minute drive at the most!
Looking forward to: watching the final Harry Potter movie tonight.
Blog Posting Updates: Regarding my blog post about Linked In, my workshop went great! There was 22 of us. I think the highlight of the workshop was watching my fellow advisors design their own website/blog.

Reading: I forgot how fast you can get pulled into a Jodi Picouet novel. I picked up “Perfect Match” at Costco a few weeks ago. Perfect way to escape at the end of the day.
Watching: Trying to catch up on movies. Recently enjoyed “The Social Network”
Sam update: Sam is now eating real sold food such as pasta, bananas, bread!
Thankful for: Where we are living
Looking forward to: Sam’s 1st birthday party and see all our old friends and family!

Reading: Finally finished “Fly Away Home” by Jennifer Weiner. I really liked the ending. Before I find a new book, I want to pick up the matching nightstand that goes with our IKEA dresser. Look out IKEA, here we come
Watching: Sam play all over the house. He loves playing in the kitchen.
Sam update: Sam is pulling himself up. Oh, and he is totally banging everything together…we might have a drummer on our hands.
Thankful for: my health. I need to find a better way to take care of my back. Sam will only get heaver.
Looking forward to: my birthday and our annual Superbowl party.

Reading: Still reading “Fly Away Home” by Jennifer Weiner. Been spending more time writing before going to bed.
Watching: “The Good Wife” and “Glee”, love it!
Sam update: Sam is crawling!! I just realized it has been over a month since I updated. The best part is when I pick him up at day care, he sees me and crawls right to me!
Thankful for: my job at Cañada College, hands down! It gives me the opportunity to do so much else in my life.
Looking forward to: Christmas decorations, Christmas lights, and Holiday parties

Sam update: (new category) Sam is right there on the crawling. Any day and he is going to take off. I am appreciating every day where he just sits there and plays. He loves to bang things to make different sounds.
Thankful for: living and working in the same city
Looking forward to: Maui! A well earned vacation with my husband. I’ve learned to always make sure you book a vacation, even if you have to do it months in advance. When you are working on a college campus, you need a week off in the middle of each semester. Makes us all wish they had a “fall” break, similar to “Spring break”.
